Absolutely "spot on" Mr 'Sadman'. Your comments about the Burrum Heads decision and Population Growth, especially here in low-lying Hervey Bay, are endorsed 100%. You are DEFINITELY NOT MAD. Those who want to inflict a doubling of Hervey Bay's population by 2026 are the mad ones.

Sue,

Quality of life is about getting the best possible value
out of what we have. Because Australia has an
abundance of just about everything but water, we
tend to squander it. Sadly we even waste our water!!

Our real problem in my view, is a lack of national
cohesion. This is brought about by our state
governments. Until we have a national approach to
all issues things will not improve.

I would argue with any one (including the almighty),
that we waste more than we use. To succeed and in
the long term survive, we need to squeese every last
drop of value out of every thing we have. Every
decision we make should be based on, WHAT DO I
NEED, not on what have my friends and neighbours
got.

Sue, while I criticise our law makers at all levels,
they have my sympathy. Politicians are trying to
fix the problems. Big mistake, they should be trying to
fix the cause. Until we ALL accept that growth for
growths sake is the prime cause of the worlds problems
nothing will change.

The Burrum Heads decision was the right one.
But council has to explain clearly to all the people why
it was made. Until the mind set developed over the
last few decades is reversed, you and all the lawmakers
are p***ing against the wind.

Sadman

PS. Don't mind me I'm mad.
